We haven’t seen Katherine since she appeared to Elena in a vision on the Nov. 15 episode, shortly before Elena and Stefan (Paul Wesley) called it quits. (See? Crazy things happen whenever Kat’s around!)
I think I speak for everyone when I say we’re ready to see her again soon in the flesh.
(UPDATE: I guess we got our answer!)
Who Else Could Be Returning To ‘The Vampire Diaries’?
As much as I’d love to see Katherine back in Mystic Falls, I have to acknowledge that she’s not the only fan-favorite character with a possibility of resurfacing.
We know Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will be back for the April 25 episode — which will also serve as the back-door pilot for The Vampire Diaries‘ spin-off, The Originals — but there’s a chance he’ll also appear before then.
“I am returning soon,” Daniel recently told HollywoodLife.com at the Baja International Film Festival. “[Executive producer] Julie Plec is saying episode 15 and 16, but I am going back to film very soon! I am very lucky to be on two shows [The Vampire Diaries and NBC’s Saving Hope] that are on the air.”
(For the record, The Originals spin-off will be episode 20, so it sounds like we’ll be getting more Eli before then!)
